Girl Scouts at the Field

On March 29-30, 2019, the Ring Masters Flying Field was converted from a field used for our plane models to a location used by our future role models.   That Fridey afternoon 35 Girl Scouts and 20 Scout leaders and parents pitched their tents in our flight circles and learned about birds, bats, moths, and insects, along with building fires and eating s,mores

They dined on hamburgers and hot dogs Friday evening and were introduced to the stars at night by two astronomy enthusiasts who brought two large telescopes for the scouts look through.

Saturday morning they ate cereal and munched on fruit and trail mix and drank orange juice (the adults were treated to fresch coffee).

Judging from the smiles on the girls faces, and good reviews, they may have a new jamboree again this fall.
